The 2026 Go-Go Invitational is a high-energy celebration of DC’s signature sound bringing together legendary bands, rising talent, and true Go-Go lovers under one roof. Inspired by the unforgettable vibes of the 2024 Go-Go Invitational at Fast Eddie’s, this year’s event raises the bar with bigger performances, deeper community connections, and nonstop rhythms that keep the city moving.
From tight pocket ans socket grooves to call-and-response moments that unite the crowd, the Go-Go Invitational is more than a concert, it’s a cultural experience. Whether you’ve been rocking with Go-Go for decades or you’re discovering the sound for the first time, this is where the culture shows up, shows out, and stays live.

1. $250 Entry Fee - You will get your full $250 back after your 1st round. (Reason for this....
To avoid bands with change of heart. We want to avoid haven't to replace bands that register and then withdraw for whatever reason.
(If we have more than 8 entries, the committee will select the 1st 5 selections, and the final 3 will be picked lottery style.)
2. This is a head to head friendly competition. 8 Bands. 3 rounds. 1st Round is Saturday March 28th and Sunday Mar 29th. 2nd round(Semi-Finals) is Saturday April 4th. 3rd Round(Championship) Saturday April 11th(Subject to Change). We will have a public Drawing for seeding to see placement. Also a coin toss to decide whether to play 1st or 2nd.
3. This Competition is based mainly about the Crank!!! Judges will use their expertise rating the bands on..
A. Creativity
B. Originality (Not just Originals)
C. Stage Presence
D. Crowd Reaction
Judges will be hand picked. They will include Club Owners, Promoters, DJs, The participating crowd, and band peers.
4. No Features Allowed
Only the members of that band. A band list will be collected at the start of the event with band members names and the position they play.
5. Must bring your own engineer
We understand the importance of an engineer and the sound. You are responsible to hiring and paying your engineer.

Plus Marketing Promotion from wearegogomusic.com (Go-Go Music Radio, LLC) which includes music played on station. Performance on numerous events throughout the year including at the Go-Go Museum. We will work with various club owners and promoters to help get your band on their show.
